Sitcom Son

I want to explode.
No, that’s not enough,
I want to burn.
Long and steady,
Like gasoline,
Bright and heavy,
Like Kerosene.
I want to be the longest lasting fire
That any man, has ever seen.

I want to unload.
On everything I ever saw,
On everyone there ever was,
On every thought I ever had,
On anything that made me sad.

I want a bat.

I want to stand
Inside a Television screen
And write the script.
I want the sarcastic dad
To scream in pain,
The free spirit Mom
To go insane,
The slutty daughter
To die of A.I.D.S,
The son is special though.

I want him to suffer
In a very different way
So he can’t feel the pain.
I want him to taste pills,
Till he’s numb,
Standing in a window sill,
With a gun,
I want him to feel nothing at his lips,
I don’t want him to feel it,
When he slips.
