A big win for photographer's rights in the US

I just came across an interesting article about a news photographer (Nick Adams) being cleared by a jury of charges of interfering with police while photographing an arrest at a Mardi Gras in 2007.

The police stated that Adams had entered their roped off perimeter in order to get his shots which resulted in the arrest and charges. However, the police deleted some of Adams’ photos while he was in custody — photos that he claimed would have proved that he was outside the established perimeter.

Luckily the jury sided with Adams. :)
