The Blindness Of A Man

Truly are you that blind?
Does your apathy give you amnesty to my dripping life?
A vision beckoning you into my pain
Empty, a void without soul or hope
The beating of my heart
That’s for you, do you hear it?
Feel it?
Only for you
Of course you don’t you’ve never touched my heart
Never even came close
My world is far off and insignifcant without you
Like they say out of sight and out of mind
But it’s just not that simple
You left me with a nightmare
The nightmare is my mother
I basically raised myself
I knew how to crawl on the counter tops when I was three
Otherwise I would probably have starved
Your ignorant gestures am I to believe that is who you truly are?
Metal bars keep me out
Or maybe they keep me in
My pain from you, you are the source
I hate myself letting you into my mind
Your mind is only focused on one
That one is you

Artist's Description

My real father walked out of my life when I was five. Then my mom got married to a wonderful man. He raised from ages 1-12 and then abandoned me as well. How can you abandon a child you raised? I called him daddy and now he’s gone
