Artist's Description

It is hard to see east Texas for the trees. The piney woods and rolling hills hold many surprises for the visitor. Rustic farms, beautiful wildflowers, and open fields are seen when driving the back roads. The National Forest have lots of backroads crisscrossing through them that the lumber companies constructed. Back in the 30s the CCC built cabins in what are now state and national parks. Rivers and lakes abound in the countryside throughout the east Texas. Any time of year is a good time to visit since each season holds its own wonders. There are many photos from east Texas in these collections of Texas photography.
