SPIDER MIND

Dew drop thoughts on silken thread
in sunshine morn did hang.
Spider mind in coldness curled,
a centred web it sang.

Nature quiet with voice so loud,
the silk began to swing.
Crystal jewels like raindrops fell,
the grass began to sing.

Sky so blue called up the mist,
the sun began to smile.
Sister moon from journey tired,
horizon to beguile.

Night so black to greet the day,
dreams – forgotten past.
Morning bright, fresh & new;
if only it could last.

Shattered jewels on ground so still:
a gossamer of thought.
In warmth uncurled the ground to roam,
the spider’s web is sought.

The wind did blow. The home was lost.
All once owned, set free.
To build again to comfort night,
enlightenment to see.

Daytime drowned engulfed by dark,
the spider wide awake.
A patterned path unto its prey,
dew drop thoughts to make.

In warmth now curled, the stillness spun,
contentment is alone.
Nature loud with voice so quiet,
humanity atone.

Mind & thought: a spider’s life,
web defines the order.
Life & death both long & short,
dew drops on the border.
