Artist's Description

Head long rush of winter joy,
atom by atom race from fell top,
channelled by grit and stone,
grey sky and water brown,
tumble past and down.

Gayle Beck in full winter torrent as it flows through Hawes in the North Yorkshire Dales, under rain filled skies, while a single watcher looks on from the bridge.

Hawes is better known for the birthplace of Wallace and Gromit’s favourite cheese, Wensleydale.

Converted into black and white and best viewed large.
