ethics and morals

Tonight went to see to very talented and vastly underrated female singer songwriters, Joan Coffey and Thea Gilmore. Both of whom can actually write more than three or four words to a line, tell a story and not have to remove most of their clothes to keep your attention for more than two minutes.

The venue, The Duchess in York seemed to have a open policy regarding taking photos. And now here is the ethics and morals part, my camera was in the bag and there it stayed while others were snapping away, flashes going off, so the question is why did it stay in there?

The only reason I could give my friend was i had not asked permission to take the shots. That it felt wrong to take the image of the artist on stage with out asking.

And yet I have no such hang ups about taking street shots.

Does any one else have a strange ethical or moral line they do not cross?
