Question about time

Sometimes I am asked just how long it takes to do some of the work that I do. As with everything it all depends on the piece that is being worked on.

That image took about 5 hours from design to final ink. You just can not rush things like that or you would mess the whole thing up

This one took me 30+ hours as it was the size of a large poster that was then hand painted.

As you can see, it all depends on what is being done or made. Some can be under an hour and others can take several, even the digital works. So next time you see someones work stop and think about what might actually be going into it. That will make you appreciate it all the more.

An Eclectic Artist

As my profile says, I have been doing art since I was a kid. Once I had the chance I was able to get a 2 year certification in Commercial Art. Back then everything was done with a luci, a light table and lettering guides. The apple 2e had just been released and was not being used for commercial purpose except in some newspapers that were testing it out.
