Artist's Description

A fortnight ago, I was on my way home from some shops I only visit occasionally using a road I’ve only used a few times when I saw this house. I didn’t have time to notice much other than that it was in an advanced tumbledown state. I went back today, hoping that I might be able to have a look around.

When I arrived, I discovered that it had been burnt. Unfortunately, it was very overgrown – it had obviously happened sometime ago – and I was only able to take photos from the outside, at the front. There was a lot of graffiti on the outside and inside.

The photo shows the grafitti that is visible in the previous photo. I’ve altered it in a few small ways in the hope that you can see it a little better.

It was a beautiful day and it made this look very sad.
