Twin flame

On golden pond I toss my coin and watch it glide below
Back and forth, down and down; sailing too and fro.
Reflections catch and throw the light, the pendulum swings on.
For timing there is ever right as we spiral ever on

And where’s the lady of my dreams who’s lilting by the pond
Her calmness and serenity unfurled there as a frond
That grows to heights that seem obscene, her roots abound below
And bonded to the soil deep, can nowhere ever go.

Astarte…..rings her name there. Astarte arte arte te te te
Astarte arte arte te te te (echo and quieting)

Her mind is somewhere else now. Not where it ought to be.
If someone pulled her house down, she might not even see
For gone is all the purpose, gone her joy to live
She may become the night time. She’s nothing more to give.

Oh succour oh my heart so, my yearning anguished mind
And cover me with foliage to block the dreaded sky
For where now is my darling. Has he forgotten me?
I cannot feel his radiance. Oh lonely, lonely me.

How can he so forget me in such a little time?
His picture in the water, that memory is mine.
And whisper “oh my sweetheart, my constant twin divine”
“Come to me, to me, to me. I’m you and you are I
(Whispered with hands reaching and tears silently streaming)

So live now in your present. Your past and future too;
Are only but a moment that I am without you
For you are out there dreaming, and dreams create desire.
Yet know that I am still here. My one , my heart, my phi-re.
