HE FIGHTS HIS OWN BATTLES

Hummingbird
Hummingbird
Three inches long
Iridescent colours
In his plumage so strong
Hummingbird
Hummingbird
Sings a song
Of his glories in battles won
A pugnacious little character
Who fights for his rights
When he’s been done wrong
By the evil of his vision
With his own insights
He’ll fight for his rights
To life…
And when the hummingbird dies
His glory goes on
In the melodies of his song
That he fought for so long
In the air of his forgiveness
He’ll continue to hum
And in the silence of the night
You’ll hear him singing
With delight
For each glorious battle
Won with each fight
Of his own insight
Brought into the light
Of his being
For he knows he is just
Illumed by the light
So he hums –

Humm…humm…humm
Homm….homm…homm
Omm…omm…omm…ommmmmm…
