The view at the Grand Canyon Skywalk. The Skywalk has a glass walkway so you can see underneath.
I had gone over to America with family. My sister is helping me get a good photo and is on her hands and knees at the edge!!!! My sister-in-law who hates flying went with us in a little six seater plane to go over to the Grand Canyon but you won’t see her near the edges. In Australia those edges would be fenced off. I believe I am very fortunate to be able to go over there and witness such an amazing place.

Very fortunate indeed!
Wow… what an amazing place.
No way I’d go near those edges! lol
Great capture!
I didn’t think I would go near the edge either …. but I was standing out on an edge to get this photo. The things you do for a good shot. LOL. Thanks for you lovely comments and for the fave.
Fantastic place! Next time I go along :)
Hi Felix …. it was a fantastic place and now that I am back home I am still on a high it was a fabulous experience. Yes, you can come along next time! :))
Thanks Audrey.
Thanks Audrey.
Thank you very much Laura. I really appreciate the feature in the Rocks and Stones group.
Yes! When enlarged this really jumps! Wonderful colour and clarity.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments and for dropping by.
Thanks Rene :)
Did you walk out on it? I have often wondered if I could because of my terrible fear of heights! Great shot!
Yes I did walk out on the Grand Canyon Skywalk but you couldn’t take any photos from there as you could pay for photos from there. My sister in law has a fear of heights and she walked out on it as well. It is amazing with the glass floor. We lay down on the glass floor to see from a different perspective as well. Loved all of it. Thanks for dropping by and commenting Barbara.
Great image, but it frightens the life out of me!
Hi Brian …. Sorry about calling your flamingos ‘Pelicans’ …. and I know the difference. I don’t know where that came from. LOL. Anyway it is a gorgeous image. Thanks for your comment here about the Skywalk. I loved every minute of being in the Grand Canyon. To take this photo was standing out on a ledge with no barrier between me and the drop and I was loving the fact that you could do that because here in Australia it would be chained off so you couldn’t go there.
A well composed image, great dof..I have been to the Grand Canyon many times and it always looks different according to time of day and season../But have never been to the West Rim..maybe next time we are over that way we will get there..Did you walk out on the glass platform?
Thanks Di for your lovely comments. I had a great time at the West Rim and yes I did walk out on the glass platform. It was a great experience. My sister-in-law was scared of heights so she didn’t enjoy it but I certainly did. We asked to be on the flight that would be the nearest to the sunset time, so hopefully we got the sunset effected light.
