blah blah....

Just discovered this site and haven’t logged out since!!
really getting into all the works on this site, the groups are interesting and bloody hell.. a chance to sell my stuff too.. fantastic!Where have you been all my life red bubble!

So what have i been up too?…
I was heavily involved in our local arts festival, which has just finnished so creatively it was a high but kind of exhausted now its all over!

My favourite part of our arts festival is always the paddock sculpture section (we live in rural area), this year it was organic themed and amazed by quality of entries.
Myself i did a pair of matchsticks made out of fence posts ( one with red tip and the other one burnt) kind of inspired by Brett Whitely sculpture. It won highly commended so that was great but more amusing is the look on the local farmers faces everytime they drive past and see them! they must be thinking (‘what the…’)
Don’t think I’ll take them down… i like them there! But could make for an interesting ad in the local paper.. For Sale, giant matches…

What next?
well the studio is looking abit crowded and full of junk so maybe need a clean out and that might wipe the creative slate so to speak and I’m looking forward to doing some new works.
Also have a pile of sandstone that I’d like to attack soon and carve some pieces. Loving the hand carving method! It is so relaxing sometimes, just scutch away for ages and tune out….
time always the enemy!!… with 5 sons under 12yrs old and a farm to help run…studio time is hard to come by!!! Need to manage time better and get back to it!
anyway enough waffle…. back to reality
Cherie x
