This is the house where my Great Grandmother raised her children. I remember the rain on the tin roof, the smell of the wood cook stove, and the feel of the feather bed. There is a small stream out back where we used to catch craw daddies and if I’m not mistaken there once was a Moonshine Still somewhere on the back 33 acres. They were living there probably as early as 1887 and my great grandfather ran Stovall Mill which was right around the curve. Folks in this neck of the woods call this place the “Valley” short for Nacoochee Valley in Sautee-Nacoochee, White County Georgia.
This pic was taken with the only camera that I own, a Canon Rebel XTi which came with one lens and I have no clue what kind it is. But I’m learning!!!
