Artist's Description

How cool is this chimney? It caught my attention right away because of the detail in the brick work. This is another shot from the mansion on the Planting Fields grounds. I believe this estate was established around 1907. The quality and details of buildings back then amazes me. There are several chimneys in sets of three on this mansion. I posted this one first so the design in the brick could be seen. In the next shot you’ll see how this brickwork actually gives the illusion that the tower is “twisted.” This is straight from the camera, no PS work on the sky. What a beautiful day Sunday was. If there is this much detail on the chimneys, you can imagine what the living quarters must be like. The mansion was actually closed for tours on the day we were there, but we hope to go back over Christmas when it is open and, if allowed, take pictures of the inside. We got a sneak peak by looking through the windows, lol. :) Karen
