Broken Dreams

Broken dreams
No more to see,
No more to say
Except that you killed me.
With that look
With that smile,
With that voice
That could bend me like water.
No words confess
No words can mend,
Every word I owe to you
That’s too afraid to be said.
You kill this voice
That sings for you
A word upon a word
That can’t convey the truth.
Hardness suffers
Darkness falls
I can’t hope anymore
You’ve destroyed it all.

I scream my misery
And am silent to your ears.
What will it take
To hear my cries,
In these long standing
Silent nights?

These broken dreams
Immortal to my mind,
Everything that flows through me
I will not leave behind.
You’ve found this dream
Tore it in two,
But I can’t stop
Won’t stop thinking of you.
These broken dreams
You’ve taken as your own,
This is no longer
An omen to be shown.
Broken wings to find
I fell from your sight,
And was taken in from your melting touch
By the comfort of an eternal night.
