Artist's Description

The storm raged long, the waters rough
The winds were cold, the way was tough.
I struggled on, stumbling and falling,
Darkness and despair my name were calling.
It came the moment, I knew I was stumbling.
I fell to my knees, my life before me crumbling.
I heard a cry, loud, pain filled, and shrill
But the cry was from me, I felt my heart chill
I shouted out a name, “Jesus, Jesus, I need you!”
And suddenly the sun burst through the clouds painting the world a golden hue.
The sun bathed the waters with shimmering rays,
And they melted the darkness in my life away.
I stood up strong, my hands raised to the sky,
I took in the wonder of the the beauty before my eyes.
I knew in that second, my soul was set free,
And for now the storm and battle had ended for me.
You bathed me in strength, rest, and renewal
And the sky and the water was the reflection of you , Lord.
