I try to spend my life finding the simple, beautiful moments happening all around us. As a Creative Photographer, I like to interpret...

Where I want to be

When I first signed up to redbubble, having only a few works I was proud of, I worked hard to make a presence for myself, shooting almost anything, finding the best shot of the bunch and repeat, ad nauseum.

I went off it for a while, noticing that you get out of it what you put in. and feeling a little lack lustre about where my photography was going. In time I gruadually found my place, my little rung of the ladder, the styles i wanted to shoot, the places I wanted to be, the gear I wanted to own, and i THINK im finally beginning to get there.

Experience, time, patience and failures (trust me, there’s heaps) have all made me a better photographer. I owe a whole lot of kudos to photography friends who let me come along on trips, who we all learn from, collaborate with and shoot with… it is this sense of drive that has given me the tools and skills in post processing. I’m just feeling WOW about it all at the moment…

So tonight i sat back and looked at my public profile, and finally felt pride, my dedication and hard work into making myself a better photographer has finally paid off, and I still have to do a double-take to check that its still my photostream.

It’s taken me 2 years, but i’m finally getting to where I want to be… and you know what? Despite that my D700 is still getting repaired from the latest hassle, I look to the future with renewed hope and passion. In the very near future (exactly 4 weeks from now) i’m going to Tasmania for a week… really looking forward to all the photo opportunities that will present themselves, and know i’m fully equipped to tackle whatever mother nature throws at me.

So honey, BRING IT ON
