Distraction

I look out my open window, searching for something true to hold; some fact, some idea, some philosophy; just something that I can grasp. I look at the bleak sky, so gray to mirror my aging face. My eyes then move to that dieing tree, and realize it’s just a mockery of me. I sigh to myself. It would seem as is human nature, I have turned the entire world into me. I’m looking out this window, and it doesn’t matter what I see, just so long as I’m not looking in.

Artist's Description

It may seem a little over poetic, but I assure you this is meant as a story. This just happens to be how I narrate.
