A velvety red rose after a morning rain – rendered in black and white she made me think of the famous aria from Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Now her petals are the color of night and the raindrops are sparkling stars.

The petals do have a lovely velvety texture and the raindrops are like a dusting of diamonds. Beautiful work.
Thank you, Maggie! I love doing the occasional b&w, but this one is difficult because its dark tones demand a well-calibrated monitor to appreciate the tonal range. Not everyone runs a calibrated monitor. :)
Thank you, Lee and Sherri!
Wow, those drops are really glistening and sparkling!!! Fabulous, Celeste!!!
Many thanks, Laurie! This is one that takes a calibrated monitor to appreciate. :)
Congratulations! Exceptional work!
