THe World As We See It,
My soul has grown silent as the ice covered woods,
adversity is all around me, and in me,
and my hair has turned as white as the snow.
Yet I ’ll keep pushing onward into the ever so silent world,
where the birds once sang, and hatched their young.
The empy nests now lie silently in the cold,
as I can feel its coolness deep down in my bones.
Awaiting, and yearning for the spring time,
where the sleepy winter is forced to let go of its silent new life within.
That promise of a new generation, all filled with laughter, all singing the praises of thanksgiving, the joys of new life.
The sun is once again shinning, and the new generations have come.
The books are once again opened, and the new chapters made ready to be filled.
All things have been made new, by the silence of the winter forest.
