Artist's Description

Photographic mixed-media.
A friend wrote this poem then he died of a heroin overdose in a squat in Glebe, Sydney. .
Without it I’m nothing
with it I’m numb
like a lamb to the slaughter
I watch the needle go in
and that smile on my face
turns to a sicklier grin.

Influenced by Francis Bacon, Renaissance triangle, religious icons-triptych, Egypt- boat to death.

From the exhibition "The Last Picture Show’ Images Gallery, Glebe.
