Artist's Description

Here she is when she was very young. Her name was Lydia and she was born in 1915. I believe she was in her late teens or early 20’s when this photo was taken. She gave it as a gift to her mother. My mother was a person who always tried to see the “good side” of anyone she met. A great example for her children (she had 2 daughters), that hopefully lives on in me. She suffered from the disease of Alzheimer’s for over 13 years and finally found her rest on 3rd December 2005. Always remembered and forever loved. Peace be with you Mom! It was a wonderful journey we shared together.

When I think of her I am reminded what Jesus commanded us to do…“Love one another as I have loved you”.
