Artist's Description

This image represents the sad progression of a heartbreaking disease.

Alzheimer’s
Written by CarolM

It comes like a thief in the night,
and memories fade.
It’s like pulling down the shade,
It takes away what light remains.
A sad reality that comes to some,
I pray it doesn’t touch your loved one.

If you have ever experienced the loss of life that comes with Alzheimers, you know the pain of the disease.

Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive neurological condition that affects memory and other mental functions. It is the most common form of dementia, a group of brain disorders characterized by a general loss of mental abilities, including memory, judgment, language and abstract thinking.

There is no cure for Alzheimer’s disease.

My own photo edited in PSE made to represent how the disease robs one of their life and wipes away who they are. I pray for a cure. NOTE: The person in this image was not afflicted with Alzheimers.
