Tabular Iceberg Antarctica - at Night
Designed by Carole-Anne
A huge tabular iceberg protrudes from the sea ice about the height of a 10 story building, Ross Sea, Antarctica. About 6 to 7 times more is below the ocean. The sun in the middle of the night during 24 hour sunlight creates a perfectly dramatic seascape. Such tabular icebergs are new, that is less than 1 year old, having recently calved from the glaciers, or the ice tongues or the Ross Ice Shelf. Photographed at about 1am. Canon EOS (film), zoom lens. (Featured in Absolute Clarity, and Others.) (1621 views at 25 April 2015)
