Royal Penguins (Eudyptes schlegeli) and King Penguins (Aptenodytes halli) sharing the beach on a sunny day on Macquarie Island, Southern Ocean, Australia.
This is the only place in the world where Royal Penguins are found. Any serious natural disaster could see the end of this species of bird.
The King Penguin is the second largest species of penguin at about 90 cm (3.0 ft) tall and weighing 11 to 16 kg (24 to 35 lb), second only to the Emperor Penguin.
Macquarie Island is World Heritage Listed.
