Artist's Description

Olive baboons, Papio anubis, Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya, East Africa. These baboons live in a matriarchal society, with females leading the troop and males changing troops every few years. Members of a troop travel, forage, and sleep together. Grooming strengthens ties and also denotes an individuals status in the hierarchy.
Canon 500D, zoom lens.
