Artist's Description

After its breakfast bottle a 3 month old Bengal Tiger cub (panthera tigris) sleeps in the animal refuge at Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua, the Tiger Temple of Kanchanaburi Thailand, Southeast Asia.
This Buddist Temple takes in orphaned tiger cubs, when their mothers have been poached for Chinese medicines, and has a breeding program to help maintain the population of Bengal Tigers which are endangered due to habitat destruction and poaching. This cub was born in the shelter.
