Artist's Description

Polar bear, Ursus maritimus, which means “sea bear”. Mother and cub squishing water out of their fur to prevent freezing, having struggled back to shore on Hudson Bay after being trapped at sea on ice which broke up due to a weather change. They would have been making their way back to shore for 10 days. Churchill, Polar Bear Point, Wapusk National Park, Canada, North America.
Polar Bears are to Global Warming/Climate Change what Canaries were to Mining.
