Artist's Description

Re-furbished traditional windmills Mykonos, the Cyclades group in the Greek Islands.
These windmills were used throughout the Eastern Mediterranean until the mid 1970’s for grinding flour. Then left to fall into disrepair. In recent times many of them have been renovated to form part of hotels or have become up-market houses.
We walked around quite a bit on Mykonos, but this was the windiest spot by far, so those traditional farmers knew the best site for windmills, hence there is a row of them together.
Canon 500D, zoom lens.
