STEAM DONKEY PROJECT – UPDATE

I finally arrived to my destination in late December 2010 in the hills outside of the town of Deming, Washington to find another Steam Donkey.

I first tried to use my car lights to shine light on the now retired beast of the woods now on show for historical reasons and for those who attend the logging shows that annually occur in this rural town up North in the Pacific Northwest, USA.

I wonder if those who view this somewhat none intimidating piece of machinery really know how many men and women worked for many years in harsh conditions and many of them survived and did not survive because of this piece of machinery.
