Pink Stumps Day 2013.

My husband and 2 eldest children are members of the Castle Hill RSL Cricket Club and each year we help to raise much needed funds for The McGrath Foundation.
Last year we raised over $2000 and we are hoping to smash that amount this time round.

Every dollar makes a difference and your donation will help the McGrath Foundation to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia, as well as to increase breast awareness in young Australian women. To date, the McGrath Foundation have placed 78 Breast Care Nurses across Australia, who have helped support over 16,000 Australian families.

100% of all money raised will be donated to the McGrath Foundation and you will automatically receive a tax-deductible receipt via email.

As we begin counting down to our Pink Stumps Day, we’re asking our friends, family, colleagues, teammates and loved ones to help us reach OUR fundraising goal.

In the lead up to the Cricket Club’s own Pink Stumps Day fundraising event, we get the local papers on board and they run stories in the paper for us. Quite a few local businesses also come on board and donate money or prizes which we raffle off.

I always take photos of the Club’s Pink Stumps Day event- it is a great day where the men all wear specially designed pink playing shirts and get kitted out in hot pink playing gear (bat grips, batting and keeping pads, pink afro wigs, etc), and all guests are asked to wear pink on the day as well.
