Artist's Description

North of Cruden Bay, Aberdeenshire. Acknowledged inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Bram Stoker stayed in the nearby hotel, The Kilmarnock Arms, whilst he wrote his novel. Early drafts had the vampire come ashore at Cruden Bay but was changed to Whitby, Yorkshire for the published novel.
