Artist's Description

This crane is now on the vulnerable list due to lack of wetlands and pollution. They have a loud trumpeting voice and usually a pair will sing together. They grow to about 16 inches (156 cm). This breed lives in India, Nepal and Pakistan (although now thought to be extinct as a breeding species there).
