The Royal naval memorial in Plymouth, Devon, UK bathed in early morning light.

The Lighthouse to the left is Smeaton’s Tower. It was originally a lighthouse erected on the Eddystone reef in 1759, but had to be removed due to erosion of the rock by the sea. It was moved to Plymouth after a public subscription and opened in 1884 as a memorial to John Smeaton who had built the lighthouse.

On the far left is the Statue of Britannia also known as The Armada memorial.

Thanks to everyone who visits & comments on my work

Due to time constraints I’ve decided that I’ll not spend time just saying individual thanks when someone comments on my work. Far better I feel to spend time looking at their portfolio & enjoying & commenting on their work, by way of thanks for visting & commenting on my work.

Of course I’ll say thank you to our hardworking hosts when featured, and sometimes you just have to answer a question, but apart from that I’m in silent mode.
