Fair Weather Motorcyclist

I’d love to be riding my bike
I know that its something I like
With the roar of the engine
The promise of action
It perfectly matches my psych

Full of the thought of the ride
And fed up with being inside
I gaze out of the window
My hopes get a deathblow
All my dreams have just shrivelled and died

The storms and the gales they are lashing
The torrential rain it is splashing
Not to mention the wind chill
Which undermines goodwill
My desire and resolve they are clashing

The spring and the summer must come
So my toes and my fingers aren’t numb
Where riding’s a pleasure
And when I have leisure
My smile will take off and then some
