Artist's Description

I had collected a photo of a Mandrill Baboon from Pixabay not too long ago. It sat in the folder for a while and I passed it over several times. The other night, I had a dream about the baboon. According ancient dream interpretations, the dream would mean you have an enemy close by or someone who is being deceitful. However, my own interpretation is the Mandrill represents family or tribe. These old world monkeys are very social and live in communities of 600 to 800 monkeys. I don’t think I would want to anger one though with the canines they have. They are omnivorous, so will eat small animals and reptiles. They are prey for leopards. :o)
.
I created the sketch and an abstract/impressionist/expressionist digital oil painting in Photoshop CC.
