just guessing is it a hawk
that was our first guess, a baby hawk, but did not expect other birds to be eating with him if he was…thanks Sean
Not a hawk Sandy…. How big is he? When I first saw him, I thought finch, but if he is the size of a small hawk, then I’d have to say not a finch…. He sure has unusual markings.
It is a lightly colored, juvenile rose-breasted grosbeak, cool bird, thanks for posting!

thank you Kim and Mundy! Duh, i should have thought to ask you, Mundy! He relly is neat…We have two of them. One is so big he fills the whole feeder! He waits very patiently for us to put out the food, then sits in the feeder for up to 10 minutes!
