Artist's Description

The car graveyard is on Hwy 25, about 5 or 6 miles north of the 198 junction.

It’s not really an auto graveyard though. These are cars secured to riverbanks to help prevent erosion when there is actually water running in the river. According to a guy I was talking to, some of them have been there since the 1940s.

These are on private property but the lady that owned it was gracious enough to let me do some shooting. Some of them you can see from a public bridge going over the river, but to get up close, you need to ask the owner.
