I was born in Bethnal Green, London U.K. in February 1933. The fifth of six children. In late 1940 our family were evacuated to Northampton due to the blitz. In December 1944 we moved to Southborough, Kent,to live near my mother`s brother. I have lived here eversince. I served for three years in the Royal Air Force, for my National Service, two of which were in Hong Kong. (Kai Tak). I married my wife Hazel on 7th September 1957 and have two childen, Keith and Kay. Also one grandson, Darren.

I first became interested in photography after I started working for a local postcard publisher on leaving school in 1947 at the age of 14. Regretably I drifted away from it for several years but I was still a little in touch by taking wedding photographs for family and friends.
I was employed as a milkman for twenty eight years until my retirement. Since then I have “Caught the Bug”
