strawberry juice

I remember sticky summers as an only child with Gran. Time ticked as slowly as she moved. Everyday we’d buy fresh strawberries in weighted heat.
Once, I refused to eat them because the milk was too thick. She dipped them in sugar and asked me again.

The next day she forgot.
We bought new strawberries.
