Text reads:

By the time I made it home, I was too exhausted to do anything more than collapse into my comfy bed. I was unconscious within seconds and slept like a cat for a solid 7 hours. I woke the following morning feeling refreshed for once.
After showering and throwing on some clean clothes, I made my way downstairs to the parlour to drink the house out of our coffee supply. I was about to take my first sip when I phone starting ringing. Not bothering to check the caller I.D, I threw the phone out the nearest window. I’m Lady Eleanor of House Brunnert, the third largest and wealthiest house of the land. My family employs nearly a third of the town’s working population, and I just spent much of the previous night battling a vampire seethe who seeked to enslave the town. No. One. Is. Interrupting. My. Coffee. Today.
I was on my third cup and stuffing my face with pancakes when my brother, Johan showed up.
“Hey Sis, you still answering your phone or what?” he enquired. I reluctantly put down my fork.
“I threw it away, it was annoying me.” I replied. “I take it you were the one trying to call?”
“Yeah well, the Alpha called me. Your werewolf mates don’t believe the vampires are going to keep their word. I told him he was probably paranoid and suggested he tried another brand of flea powder. He hung up on me.” My brother, the diplomat. I’d opened my mouth to reply when Alfred entered the room.
“The courier just dropped off a package for you, Miss Brunnert.” Alfred chimed as he dumped the box off on the table in front of me before exiting the room again. Thinking nothing of it, I opened the package. Inside was a wooden box, containing the head of the shift supervisor from last night. Maybe the werewolves aren’t so paranoid after all.
