Happy Challenge - My Top 10

Hi all,

Well, the Happy Challenge is now accepting votes, so go and check it out!

For what it’s worth, here is my Top 10, in no particular order.

There were also other great entries that I wanted to add, but forced myself to make it 10 only, and I’m obviously quite biased towards an illustrative style (and I only picked entries that, in my opinion, fitted the template).

Good luck to all who entered!

Birchalls Tertiary Art Prize

My work Strata has been chosen as a finalist in the Birchalls Tertiary Art Prize 2009, for 2D works on paper or canvas.

All the works will be shown in the Finalists’ Exhibition at the NEW Gallery, University of Tasmania, Newnham from 3 – 23 September.

First prize is $2000, with a People’s Choice prize of $500.

Only three weeks to go . . .

In three weeks time, my wife and I are heading off to Europe, so that I can undertake a three week print making residency at the Frans Masereel Centre in Kasterlee, Belgium.

This will be my first residency, and seems like the perfect way to combine two of my greatest loves – art and travel.

I’d love to hear from anyone else who has undertaken a residency and what they thought of the experience.
