Pure Love

Pure love is a living and growing thing,
As fragile, yet as strong, as a new born babe.
As elusive as a summer breeze,
As caressing as an Angels kiss in spring.

Pure love keeps no record of wrong,
Seeks only the best for you and yours.
Sees through heart’s aches and pains
To the molten center we hide for so long.

Pure love sings it’s way through the generations of man,
Always with an outstretched hand,
just waiting for us to have the courage to cling,
And join the angelic throng.

Pure love is as powerful and as gentle as a song,
As ferocious as a lioness protecting her cubs.
As tender as when she nurtures them,
As enduring as the years are long.

Pure love is as reassuring as the air we breath,
Has faith, even when we fail,
Gives hope, when we can see none,
Is full of joy and yet so strong.

Pure love is the wisdom that created the universe,
And sustains it through all the generations of man.
Is brighter than the sun,
And greater than we can even dream.

Pure love owns everything, including you and I,
Holds us ever so gently in the palm of his hand.
Knows every hair on our heads,
and how many have fallen to the ground.

Pure love has grace for our mistakes,
Has no thought of self,
Only thinks what is best for others,
Gives whatever it takes to help us to overcome.

Pure love takes no notice of male or female,
color or creed,
Cares for, all, the same,
Takes notice of what is in the heart.

Pure love never dies, only lives to serve,
Is as forgiving as your forgiveness allows him to be.
Shares peace which surpasses all understanding,
Meters out justice, knowing all truth.

Pure love can never be hoodwinked,
Knows every motive of every heart,
Every thought and every word,
Every kind deed and every injustice done.

Pure love is in the future and in the past,
Living through all eternity,
Patiently waiting for us to turn away from evil,
And turn back to him, where we belong.

Pure love has a plan for a family to share.
Created the Heavens and the Earth
Then created you and I,
Children, of his own.

Pure love sacrificed his son.
The son sacrificed his life, When we went astray,
To make a way back,
So we wouldn’t have to stay away.

Pure love allows repentance from sin.
So turn from the pain and shame,
Life is not a game,
It is an eternal flame.

Pure love is not a fleeting thing.
Heaven, Earth and flesh may pass away,
But the spirit of love,
Is here to stay.

Pure love is the be all and end all of life.
He is the beginning and the end,
The alpha and the omega,
The Father and the Son.

Oh, To be given the grace,

To be just a small part of such pure love.
All thanks and all glory,
Be to the Father and the Son.
Amen.
