Vicky Brago-Mitchell

Los Angeles, United States

Just google my name. I live in Los Angeles with husband composer John Mitchell and an orange tabby cat named Matthew.

Besides playing with fractals, I work on music with my husband, composer John Mitchell, and maintain our website, (the abm stands for Adolf, Benjamin and Matthew, three of our cats). Free 800 × 600 pixel versions of my fractals for desktop wallpaper are at Fractal Art by Vicky

I was born in the US, Washington State, but have traveled and lived in other countries. Educated at Stanford and UCLA (Romance languages and linguistics). There’s more about me here

Obviously some of the recent pictures here are not fractals—I started doing digital paintings and manipulations in Photoshop.

Other cats lurk in the corners of the room. They’re younger than Isolde, but not nearly as wiry, tough, or determined. / I always wanted cats who could get along wi…

It's the truth.

I miss dead people. I miss my parents, even though they raised me before the discovery of self-esteem and never missed an opportunity to make me feel deeply defective. (Nothing personal really, just 19th century German child-rearing.) / I miss dogs and cats. / An unfortunate creature named Chelsea, whom we adopted when she was about ten years old, long imprinted with the conviction that she was…

Draft Gore

I suppose this really belongs in my neglected blog, which is all political. No it doesn’t, because it will be just my own rambling thoughts, with no references to authoritative sources. At lunch a few minutes ago my brother-in-law said that Obama had just lost his vote…by saying he would send US troops into Pakistan to hunt down “the terrorists”. What cynicism. US troo…
