Artist's Description

In the small village of Upton in Nottinghamshire, there still stand an icon of an era now disappearing rapidly. These red phone boxes are as much an icon of England as is the double decker busses or the black taxi cabs of London. Many villages are so attached to the phone boxes that they are fighting councils to keep them, even offering to buy the boxes to keep them where they stand. I guess there are just somethings that we fight to keep the same in a rapidly changing world, almost like security blankets. I don’t have a problem with the sentiment, because as in this case, I really like the phone boxes. But we need to realize that even though things around us change the one unchanging fact is this, Jesus is still there and he still loves us. That never will change. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
