Artist's Description

This is a special photo to me it is from the first roll of 35mm film I shot with my first new camera in 1975. I was in High School and I saved my money to buy my Canon Ftb at Frank’s Highland Park Camera Store. I made a 1.75 an hour and I worked on campus as an AV manger and Asst. Librarian, I know a super geek.
I started shooting photos when I was five; I have photos of these two from that time. The kid in red is my little brother, my only sibling. The guy with the clippers is David “Ole” Olsen my best friend from 18 months old to High School when we started to drift apart. Different interest and calling of life sent us on our separate ways. I’m still close to his family.
Unfortunately he died too young a few years ago; he would have just turned 50 this March. My Brother Kevin now lives in Georgia; we talk on the phone, but rarely see each other now days.
