Dark Eyed Lady

Dark Eyed Lady

A strange lady kissed me,
with a tattoo in her eyes,
her mouth was all, could be,
I knew that all of it was lies.

She come from the night,
to try to steal my heart,
to take me from the light,
and tear my soul apart.

Those lips were like embers,
they burned into my soul,
like my body was on fire,
and then no longer whole.

Her a demon I could believe,
but a mans body is weak,
I should tell her to leave,
the words I could not speak.

Finally at dawn she left me,
but from then I was lost,
all I wanted could not be,
to tempt love at such cost.
