Artist's Description

I felt bad for them, they just sat there on the rock shelf craving attention. I was on that same rock shelf shooting these rocks

My guess is that this wasn’t the first time they had been ignored for the majestic formations behind and beyond them. They tried to tell me that they were distant cousins of Stonehenge and were an ancient calendar all their own, to which I replied, “Sure, ‘distant’ cousins like you see on Jerry Springer!” Then they claimed they had been put there by aliens who were coming back at some random future date because they were “magic”, to which I replied," Sure, midget aliens maybe". After shooting the stacked rocks I had climbed down there for, I figured as long as I was in the water(literally, if you read the description on the other photos) I’d throw these little guys a bone and take a couple photos of them. Unfortunately I made the mistake of telling them I should probably switch out my wide angle lens for something with a little less scope. I’ve never heard rocks cry before. I went ahead and left the wide angle on(I cropped in post, don’t tell them) and went ahead and shot. When I made my way back to the jeep I felt good about myself. I’m not crazy, I know they weren’t related to the Stonehenge Rocks, but this way I’m covered when the midget aliens come back.
