Artist's Description

I don’t think the monolith from 2001 A Space Odyssey would have been nearly as ominous and foreboding if it had been painted Hot Rod Orange Creamsicle instead of Light Sucking Black. Just a thought.
Anyway, this is a modern art sculpture in front of the Prescott Valley Civic Center. I’m on my back with my head and camera nestled(not really as comfy as the word “nestle” portends, more like “jammed” or “crammed” or “wedged” or maybe “stuffed to the point of drawing blood on the back of my freaking head”) between the bottom of the sculpture and the cement foundation holding it up. This is about the 400th angle I tried. My head was not happy.
